A subtle movement practice that connects you to your body, allows your body to release stored tension and bringing freedom of movement and expression of what is within without paying attention to the form or poses. We take a deep dive into our body, tuning in, listening deeply, understanding our boundaries and releasing tension. This practice is for anyone who is looking for a freedom to move within the context of yoga. During this somatic yoga class we’ll weave explorative and primal movements such as rocking, rolling, pulsing and massaging motions into the practice. And can be particularly helpful to those who has are experienced tension, aches or pains, stress, fatigue, trauma, or recovering from injury.
You will be given the space to kindly look in wards and move at your own pace, in ways that feel supportive and spacious and to pause whenever you need. By doing this, we can gently ease open tight muscles, stuck fascia and postural imbalances in a safe way guided by the intelligence of your own body. With the support of the breath and compassionate awareness.
This is an evening class so a space to digest the week. We will spend most of the time on the mat low to the ground releasing into the support of the earth.
Please bring a blanket and wear clothing in which you feel comfortable to move freely within.
This is for anyone and all ages - throughout the class you will be encouraged to listen to your body and moving into what feels good with ease. There is no goal oriented to making a particular shape or being able to stretch into a particular pose. This is your body, your practice and your stuff.
We all innately know how to heal ourselves- it’s about tuning in, listening deeply, allowing the body to be moved, into ease, fluidity, and wellness.
It is not all about letting go and relaxing - there is an element of challenge to this class. We balance
stretch and strength based movements.
We go about our day, moving to function, to drive, to work, it’s all about function - this practice unravels this patterning in the body and reminds us of the freedom of movement without a specific goal or task in mind. These daily routines can create patterns of tension that can be released when giving the freedom to move.

“The senses of Wolf are keen, and the Moon is its power ally. The Moon is the symbol for […] the unconscious that holds the secrets of knowledge and wisdom. Baying at the Moon may be an indication of Wolf’s desire to connect with new ideas which are just below the surface of consciousness.”
~ Sams & Carson
It is through stilling the mind, using mindful movement and breath, that we can connect with our inner wisdom, our intuitive power, our inner teacher.
